We continue serialization of Empowered vol. 12, which proved to be the final volume of the series in this specific graphic-novel format, though I was unaware of that unfortunate reality when I started work on the book.

As I wrote yesterday, I believe that I've figured out a viable workflow for future comics projects, one that is based on high-contrast inked artwork.  However, during extensive art tests that kicked off in earnest at the start of the year, for the second time in only four months I've found that my drawing hand—well, my drawing arm, really—has experienced sufficient levels of pain to force me to stop doing artwork for a while.  Honestly, this seems odd, as I don't find that I'm applying very much pressure when using brush pens to ink, as opposed to the high degrees of pressure I would apply when penciling Empowered.
