We continue serialization of Empowered vol. 12, which proved to be the final volume of the series in this specific graphic-novel format, though I was unaware of that unfortunate reality when I started work on the book.

As noted a while back, this story is the lone surviving remnant of my original vision for Empowered vol. 12 before the "Never-Ending Reboot" plotline replaced it. As was often the case early on in a volume, I started off with a chapter chock full o' "damsel-in-distress" imagery to get that arguably semi-mandatory "DiD" content outta the way first; as you will eventually see, this story has a much more sweeping point than just "let's show Emp getting tied up again," believe it or not. No, really!

TBH, I probably could've (and should've?) ditched this story outright without affecting the volume's overall narrative one bit, but I was loath to discard 50-odd pages worth of now admittedly extraneous work that had likely taken me 3-4 months to finish. (More on this matter later, folks.)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used.
